Maintenance Engineers – Mechanical & ElectricalLocation: Dudley and Wolverhampton

Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE

Contract: Permanent | Full Time

Shifts: Rotating Mornings, Afternoons


Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineers – Steel IndustryA recognised and rapidly growing steel company is looking to recruit both a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team.


This is an excellent permanent opportunity for experienced maintenance engineers looking to join a successful business with a strong reputation, continued investment, and long-term growth plans.


Mechanical Maintenance EngineerResponsibilities:


  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on steel processing and production machinery.

  • Maintain hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes and pumps.

  • Support machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.

  • Minimise production downtime through effective fault finding.

Requirements:


  • Previous mechanical maintenance experience within manufacturing, steel or heavy industry.

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors.

  • Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent desirable.

Electrical Maintenance EngineerResponsibilities:


  • Carry out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery.

  • Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and automated systems.

  • Fault find on PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Support machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.

  • Minimise downtime and maintain reliable production.

Requirements:


  • Previous electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing, steel or heavy industry.

  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability.

  • Experience with PLCs, inverters, motors and control systems.

  • NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, 18th Edition or equivalent desirable.
