Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to lead and support mechanical and utilities maintenance at our advanced manufacturing facility in Singapore. This role will be instrumental in driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational excellence and safety compliance

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment
• Proven experience in mechanical systems maintenance , utility operations, and reliability engineering
• Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, mechanical schematics , and equipment manuals
• Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment , steam systems , ISO tank handling , and DG (Dangerous Goods) compliance
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance KPIs
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong safety orientation with knowledge of WSH, LOTO , and regulatory standards

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical systems, utilities, and production machinery (e.g., HVAC, compressors, boilers, pumps, ISO tanks)
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Manage contractors and service vendors for scheduled maintenance, equipment upgrades, and compliance with safety protocols
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S initiatives to ensure workplace organization and equipment reliability
• Maintain and update CMMS/work order systems , tracking KPIs like Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, EHS, quality) to implement engineering improvements , process enhancements, and equipment retrofits
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards , including LOTO, risk assessments, JSA, SWP, and hazardous materials handling
• Lead or support commissioning of new equipment and utilities infrastructure.
• Conduct training for technicians and operators on safe equipment usage and first-line maintenance procedures
