Static Maintenance Engineer (M&E) 📍 Multi-Site Portfolio (Local / Regional Travel Required) 🏢 Pareto FM 🕒 Full-Time | Monday – Friday Join a high-performing engineering team where standards matter. We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Static Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio of client sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure mechanical and electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in full compliance, while working as part of a close-knit engineering team. You’ll cover multiple nearby sites within a regional patch, so some travel between locations is required. If you enjoy fault-finding, problem-solving, and taking ownership of building performance, this is a strong opportunity to develop within a supportive FM environment. The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining the client’s mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. Key responsibilities include: Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Maintaining and repairing mechanical & electrical systems and associated components Fault-finding across HVAC, pumps, generators, lighting and small power systems Responding to breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations Responding to BMS alarms and carrying out first-line diagnostics Ensuring HVAC systems maintain comfortable environmental conditions Completing simPRO tasks with accurate records and photographic evidence Maintaining logbooks and compliance documentation (electrical, mechanical, water systems) Supporting statutory planned maintenance and escalating issues where required Carrying out plant start-up, shutdown, changeover and optimisation procedures Undertaking regular site walk-rounds to ensure safety, cleanliness and performance Supporting subcontractors and reviewing works on site Carrying out small repair and installation tasks as required Ensuring all plant rooms are safe, tidy and compliant Communicating clearly with supervisors, account management and clients Team Structure You will work alongside 2 site engineers and a Contract Support Reporting into the Account Manager Supported by wider Pareto FM engineering and operational teams Strong focus on teamwork, communication and shared standards Qualifications & Experience Essential: City & Guilds Level 3 (Electrical or Mechanical discipline) Strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 Proven experience in Building Services / M&E maintenance Desirable: 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations IOSH Working Safely PASMA & IPAF (1b / 3a / 3b) Unvented hot water systems training BMS / controls / HVAC / generator systems experience ACOP L8 / water systems knowledge Experience Required Experience working across a range of building services systems, including: Boiler plant and ventilation systems Pumps and pressurisation systems Generators and switchgear Cables, batteries, lighting and small power systems Drainage, plumbing and sanitary systems About You Customer-focused with a professional approach Organised and able to manage multiple priorities Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Comfortable working in a team and independently Calm and effective in high-pressure situations Committed to safety, compliance and quality Why Join Pareto FM?
