OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Solid electrical experience, particularly with PLCs and schematics.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques is advantageous.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, between 7am and 4pm

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Interpret and work from schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production needs and resolve technical issues.
  • Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving maintenance processes and efficiency.
