  • Experience of preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and inspection on production plant and equipment such as machine tools, Vacuum Furnace repair and maintenance, as well as Chemical Process lines - preferable.
  • Willingness to undertake projects/continuous improvement activities.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation.
  • Basic IT literacy.
  • Understanding of the applicable health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously and be able to communicate with a customer.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

You will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of manufacturing assets such as CNC machines and all the associated production equipment. You will:

  • Carry out routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and equipment.
  • Ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required.
  • Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams and schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Research and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff. Regularly communicate and interface with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.
  • Support effective induction of new team members and cross-training of other team members.
