As a Maintenance Engineer (Technician) at Symeres, you are responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance of all utilities and facilities.
From gas, water, electricity, heating, and cooling systems — to the upkeep and improvement of buildings and site infrastructure — you ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
In this versatile role, you’ll report directly to the Director of Operations in Weert and serve as a trusted technical sparring partner, contributing not just hands-on expertise but also strategic input on maintenance and facility development.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining/repairing and troubleshooting of process equipment, process supporting equipment, (electrical, mechanical) in accordance with relevant regulations, e.g. NEN, ATEX, KIWA .
  • Leads preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots technical issues, and coordinates with suppliers and contractors
  • Maintains a proactive mindset and ensures accurate reporting of relevant findings and recommendations. Serves as the key point of contact for both internal and external communication across all company levels and contractors
  • Responsible for drafting and updating SOPs and work instructions
  • Planning his/her work, he/she takes the preventative maintenance schedule into account
  • Registering the performed maintenance/repair work, where necessary, on the appropriate forms
  • Carrying out the work in compliance with the relevant procedures and established instructions in terms of quality (including ICH guidelines for GMP or APIs), safety, health and environment (including ISO 14001)
  • Ensuring that the tools are in good condition and available in the correct amount
  • Ensuring that generated waste is disposed of properly
