JOB SUMMARY:

As a Maintenance Engineer in our Trenton, NJ facility, you will be responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment in a facility are functioning correctly and efficiently. This role will manage the routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and plumbing systems. Possess Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques. Possess good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical) preferred or manufacturing experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, project management, supervision, process troubleshooting, tooling, facilities (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.)
  • Experience with Building Codes, Lock-Out Tag-Out, Confined Space Entry, Arc Flash, Machine guarding, HAZMAT, and OSHA Safety standards.
  • Experience with Waste Treatment and Handling/Disposal of used oils/drums
  • Knowledge of various wastes sampling such as sanitary sewer and storm water a plus
  • Working knowledge Electrical systems a plus
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC Logic a plus
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify any potential issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment using CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Repairing or replacing faulty components and parts.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs, repair or replacement history, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments or contractors to coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during maintenance work.
  • Keep updated with advancements in technology and industry best practices.
  • Managing inventory of spare parts,
  • Assist with the training of Maintenace workers.
  • Assist in overseeing the work of external contractors.
  • Overall, the goal of a Maintenance Engineer is to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment to support the organization’s productivity and efficiency. Provide estimates on labor, material, and timeframe for project planning purposes.
  • Provide information and engineering support for production leaders.
  • Supports and implements production area rearrangements and new process installations.
  • Manage, coordinate, and maintain the physical buildings, machinery, and utilities with the support of the maintenance personnel and operations teams.
