Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This new role has been created to bring our maintenance in-house and improve the way we manage planned servicing. Much of this work is currently outsourced, and by bringing in the right expertise we aim to:

  • Reduce down time
  • Reduce breakdowns by increasing planned servicing
  • Reduce spend and reliance on external contractors
  • This role reports directly to the Packhouse Manager

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct planned maintenance of processing and packaging machinery
  • Respond to breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
  • Identify and resolve faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics)
  • Call out and oversee contractors where required, logging and authorising costs
  • Lead and support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups.
  • Manufacture and repair component parts for processing and packaging assets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets and processes.
  • Participate in decision-making for new machinery purchases
