Compensation Compensation is structured based on academic standing and relevant experience: * Early undergraduate (Freshman/Sophomore): starting in the mid-to-high teens hourly * Upper-level undergraduate (Junior/Senior): up to $20.00 per hour POSITION SUMMARY THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING INTERN WILL SUPPORT THE FLEET & MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT IN ANALYZING EQUIPMENT RELIABILITY, IMPROVING MAINTENANCE PRACTICES, AND ENHANCING HOW MAINTENANCE DATA IS CAPTURED AND UTILIZED. THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON HYDRAULIC COMPLETION UNITS (HCUS), POWER PACKS, AND PUMPS, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON DRIVING DATA-BACKED OPERATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS. LOCATION Flexible – Zelienople, PA, Midland, Tx, or Houston, Tx DURATION Summer Internship (approximately 10–12 weeks) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyze maintenance and failure data for HCUs, power packs, and pumps to identify trends and key failure drivers * Support initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and overall maintenance costs through data-driven insights * Evaluate current maintenance data capture processes and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies * Assist in improving data quality, standardization, and reporting within existing systems * Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and shop personnel to understand equipment performance and failure modes * Support tracking of fleet performance, maintenance activities, and equipment utilization * Present findings, insights, and recommendations to department leadership at the conclusion of the internsh QUALIFICATIONS * Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and pivot tables * Demonstrated interest in heavy equipment, fleet operations, or oil and gas services * Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Exposure to maintenance or asset management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms * Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent * Hands-on experience working with mechanical systems, vehicles, or industrial equipment Disclaimer The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
