We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Specialist – Electrical to join our Operations Maintenance team within a major LNG producing facility. The role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and technical integrity of all electrical systems and equipment across the plant. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high equipment availability, optimizing preventive maintenance strategies, supporting reliability improvements, and ensuring compliance with international standards and HSE requirements. Job Description Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity of electrical equipment. Implement and enforce HSE rules, procedures, and company policies. Review and optimize preventive electrical maintenance plans and frequencies. Supervise and coordinate scheduling of all electrical maintenance work. Provide technical guidance and expertise to maintenance and reliability teams. Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, RCA, safety audits, and incident investigations. Ensure quality control during maintenance execution. Prepare and monitor monthly KPIs (preventive, corrective, performance, cost, and budget tracking). Support troubleshooting of complex electrical failures. Ensure effective root cause analysis and reliability improvement actions. Ensure availability of spare parts and materials; review stock levels and initiate procurement. Coordinate and supervise contractors and specialist vendors on site. Develop and review technical scopes of work for electrical contracts. Ensure proper backup and archiving of electrical control systems. Initiate and implement electrical modifications through Management of Change (MOC) process. Review, validate, and update maintenance procedures in line with company standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent international qualification). Minimum 15 years of electrical maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries. Minimum 7 years of experience in LNG producing plants (not LNG terminals). Strong expertise in: Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) Gas Turbine Generators Emergency Diesel Generators Transformers Protection systems Switchboards and Motor Control Centers (MCCs) Excellent knowledge of electrical systems integration and maintenance methods. Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA, ISO). Familiarity with ATEX / IECEx requirements. Good knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and spoken English. Demonstrated leadership and contractor supervision experience. Strong commitment to HSE and safety culture.
