Description Elmore Sand & Gravel is looking for a Maintenance/Fabrication employee! The successful candidate will be someone who has prior maintenance and welding experience and can-do basic welding and cutting for plant repair. Job Duties-Plant Fixed asset repair Supervised pump tear down and repair Pipeline replacement Plant inspection Gearbox repair/replacement Light fabrication work (patchwork, handrails, guards, etc.) Bearing changes Wet Screen repair Drive belt changes Pump adjustments Packing replacement Preventive Maintenance (Conveyor, coarse material washers, log washers, wet screen) Requirements Job Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lb. objects continuously throughout the day Must also be able to lift 100 lbs. occasionally Flexible working hours and conditions Must have desire to learn and be willing to undertake job responsibilities Must be able to understand and follow oral and written directions Observe and follow all MSHA safety work practices such as height safety, lockout/tagout/tryout principles Minimum Qualifications: Good physical condition, must pass physical and drug screen Valid Alabama Driver's License and high school GED or equivalent is desirable, but not required Basic knowledge of torch and welding skills
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and repair of plant fixed assets. Responsible for pump tear downs, pipeline replacement, and preventive maintenance on conveyors and washers.
