Job Summary: Performs fabrication on mechanical equipment and complete builds from engineered drawings. Installs new equipment, performs carpentry and plumbing. Other duties may include equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, janitorial, painting, welding, wiring, and manufacturing or production duties. Responsibilities: Performs welding and fabrication tasks. Uses hand and power tools, machine tools, and test equipment. Operates forklifts, aerial man lifts, and other company vehicles. Installs or modifies new or existing equipment and machinery in accordance with company/manufacturer instructions. Uses blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, equipment manuals, and other technical documents. Works with minimal supervision. Follows all safety guidelines and procedures. Achieves and maintains performance appraisal appropriate to a level II position. Trouble shoot an array of industrial manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Completes other duties as assigned. Schedule: Day (1st) Shift: 6am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday Work Environment: Able to work in area where there is moderate noise intensity (85 – 89.9 dBa). May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. At least 1 year of experience specifically fabricating, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing most of the equipment and systems found in an industrial manufacturing setting. Desired Characteristics: Excellent attendance and punctuality history. Makes decisions based on experience and available data. Efficient and effective verbal and written communication skills Strives to meet or exceed job requirements. At least 1 year of experience with computers and familiarity with Microsoft office applications.
