We’re seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. You’ll be responsible for repairs, and preventative maintenance of our company’s buildings at various locations in the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out general building maintenance— this will include repairs to electrical, plumbing and cladding as needed
• Be able to operate suitable plant e.g. cherry picker and/or scissor lift safely (IPAF licence mandatory)
• Dealing with external contractors where necessary
• Following safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records

Schedule
40 hours per week – rota’d shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30

Essential Requirements:

• Strong practical skills in electrical, plumbing, cladding, and general building along with minor joinery skills, would all be useful in this role
• Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence (company may train)
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel
• Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Desirable Qualifications:

• SMSTS certification
• NEBOSH health and safety qualification
• IOSH certification
• Own set of trade tools (we can also supply tools if needed)
