College Group was founded in 1989 and currently operates from three state-of-the-art sites; Nobber in County Meath, Monnery in County Cavan, and in Newry in County Down. We have just built a new state of the art AD plant in Nobber with the most advanced technology, which is one of Irelands largest Anaerobic Digestion plants.
Anaerobic digestion (AD) is is a sustainable process with the microbial breakdown of organic material in the absence of oxygen to produce renewable energy in the form of biogas and organic fertiliser.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter to join our new AD Team in Nobber. This position will be an integral part of the team responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and automated systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and chute systems, to ensure operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Hands-on Experience: Proven experience in fitting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and automated systems.
