JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant qualification: Fitter Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in FMCG manufacturing (dairy experience highly regarded).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge or experience with PLCs (desirable).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Flexibility to work day, afternoon, or night shifts as required.
  • Experience using CMMS (e.g., Fiix, MEX, or similar).
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our high-profile dairy production company, which proudly supplies and exports goods and services to major leading supermarkets across NSW. This hands-on role will see you working across preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting plant improvements. Candidates with dairy industry experience will be highly regarded. This job is currently in Marrickville, however, the company will be relocating over the coming months to Pemulwuy, NSW.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
  • Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
  • Follow workplace health and safety standards at all times.
  • Support production in optimising machinery performance.
