KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years as a Fitter & Turner in a pharmaceutical or industrial environment, including experience with CNC or high-speed production equipment.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to read technical drawings. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various positions (standing, kneeling, crouching), and work at heights if required.

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Fitter to ensure the reliable and safe operation of machinery in our GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role involves general and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving across diverse equipment and systems to support uninterrupted, high-quality production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs according to SOPs and maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Assemble, install, and adjust machinery and equipment as required.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and workshop housekeeping.
  • Provide technical support to production staff and respond to urgent breakdowns or project work, including overtime if needed.
  • Conduct all maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
