ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified tradesman who’s confident to autonomously manage a variety of tasks. You thrive in a dynamic environment and will be confident troubleshooting and problem solving under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A trade qualification ideally as either fitter and turner, mechanic or electrician (Essential)
• Drivers license (MR highly regarded)

EXPERIENCE

• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and/or repairing industrial equipment (desirable)
  Vanguard Laundry’s standard operating hours are currently 6am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-12pm on a Saturday. You would work a roster of hours to be negotiated based on business needs as well as your flexibility requirements.

As a full-time Maintenance Fitter you will provide essential support to the production process by ensuring the optimal maintenance and operation of our commercial laundry equipment. This role involves a variety of hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Our laundry has a variety of equipment involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components so a variety of trade backgrounds may see you excel. For example you may be a qualified fitter and turner, mechanic or electrician. In this role you’ll need to be a fast learner and a great problem-solver willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the team.
You will be managed and supported by the Operations Manager and work alongside the Laundry Supervisors. You will also have access to our external contractors and the equipment manufacturers for support and guidance.
