Maintenance Fitter (Workshop Mechanic)
Salary: £34,000 - £36,200 + benefits
Hours: 8am - 5:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday (42.5 hours per week)
Location: Pershore
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, plant, and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with HGVs and heavy plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on company vehicles, plant, and equipment.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Investigate and rectify equipment/vehicle failures in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine servicing and safety checks in line with company standards.
• Assist in training staff on the safe use of machinery and equipment.
• Supervise contractors on-site and issue/close Permits to Work.
• Carry out modifications and improvement projects on plant and vehicles.
• Manage and reorder essential spare parts for the workshop.
• Promote and uphold health & safety practices across the site.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Workshop Mechanic, or similar.
• Knowledge of HGVs, heavy plant, or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair faults.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Health & Safety awareness within a maintenance environment.
