Key Accountabilities: Supervision of Subordinates: Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of Mechanical activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures: Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner Day- to-day Operations: Supervises the day-to-day operations of Mechanical Maintenance to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures. Job Specific Accountability: Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of plant equipment. Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities. Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation. Carrying out inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues. Placing orders for spare parts and equipment for replacement and ascertaining the proper documentation in order to secure spare parts availability. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement SME: Contribute to minimizing the losses in the production process and reducing expenses through aiding in identifying and defining the losses, leading/participating in pillars, and identifying, measuring, and achieving departmental KPIs. Support in the implementation of all the AM & PM Activities as per job requirements. Contribute, assess, and evaluate the quality of the OPLs and Kaizen Projects executed by members in Taskforces and ensure the achievement of monthly targets. Reporting: Prepare reports timely and accurately to meet Savola and department requirements, policies, and standards. Health, Safety, & Environment: Monitor the adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Related Assignments Perform other related duties or assignments as directed Qualifications, Experience & Skills: 8-10 years relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance preferably in Sugar field. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
