Requirements Responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery, equipment, vehicles and systems, following established practices and procedures. Work from requisitions, schedules, prints, tables, charts, specifications and instructions from manufacturing leaders. Use various hand and power tools, machine tools, moving equipment, adjustable measuring instruments, rulers, welding equipment, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1. Assist and direct associates as necessary. 2. Perform scheduled or prioritized fabrication, repairs or maintenance on a wide variety of manufacturing and service equipment and systems. Inspect quality using various methods and equipment. Maintain focus on Lean principles and facilitate associate involvement in Lean projects. 3. Repair and/or replace bearings, shafts, pulleys, pumps, rollers, filters, seals, motors, cams, drives, etc. Operate welders to perform an average range of maintenance welding in all positions. Set up and operate common machine tools to machine items such as shafts, keyways, etc. from liberal to close tolerances. Select fixtures, jigs, tooling, speeds and feeds. 4. Perform a wide range of carpentry duties, routine plumbing and electrical repairs. Requisition needed materials, tools, equipment and supply items. Keep and maintain records, counts, and data, as required. Maintain production records, specifications and related notes to comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Prepare various reports as requested. 5. Detect and report defective or unsafe equipment, unusual situations, other problems to superiors. Inform EHS Manager of any changes or additions to equipment or processes to ensure compliance with safety and OSHA requirements. Observe and obey all safety rules and practices and employ all safety equipment and devices. Maintain all work areas in a neat and orderly condition. 6. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the job. Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
