The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. There are 532 guest rooms, 3 Restaurants, a Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, an Executive Lounge, and 18 meeting spaces. Located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Assist the Maintenance team in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotels & conference centre.
  • Complete daily rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
  • Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation to ensure acceptable availability and reliability.
  • Ensure all equipment is used, stored and maintained correctly.
  • Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant & equipment.
  • On completion of daily rounds, sign off on any relevant section of maintenance manuals.
  • Liaise with the supervisor/manager/contractor regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out-of-order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
  • Report on the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest-related.
  • The recording of all maintenance tasks performed, complete and incomplete, including any necessary reports about repairs and preventative schedules.
  • Ensure the external areas of the hotel are tidy and maintained.
  • Maintain gym equipment in safe working order according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Carry out preventative and repair painting where required throughout the Hotel.

PHYSICAL TASKS

  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
  • Move up and down a ladder.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 Kilograms without assistance
  • Gardening duties, hedge trimming overhead bushes, removal of fallen trees, digging out garden beds
  • Ability to work in relatively small spaces, when checking kitchen equipment, under benches or machines
