Description POSITION SUMMARY: Repair and maintain all production related machinery and physical Plant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs preventative maintenance according to established procedures; Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment (e.g. presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, spinning bowls, etc.); Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment (e.g. presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, spinning bowls, etc.); Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic issues on molding machines; Contact outside resources to help with troubleshooting and obtain part numbers; Notify supervisor of part numbers for low inventory stock or parts needed for repairs; Perform mold and lining tool changes when necessary; Adjust lining machine vision systems when necessary; Performs and completes necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly PMs, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs; Follows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures such as lock out / tag out and arch flash; Welds and/or Fabricates parts (e.g. guards, tooling components) for machines as needed; Continually increases skills through education and training; Familiarizes themselves with all equipment on the production floor including its purpose, use, and function; Must be competent in operation of aerial lifts, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts; Assist engineering on projects as needed and directed by supervisor; OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties that may be assigned; Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures; Responsible for following all Safety Rules, polices, procedures and work instructions. Backup: Off-shift Maintenance Requirements EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School diploma or equivalent; Fork lift certification. EXPERIENCE: Hands on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices, usage of hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe; Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School diploma or equivalent; Fork lift certification. EXPERIENCE: Hands on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices, usage of hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe; Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics.
