Job Details Job Location: Postell - Macon, GA 31211 Position Type: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: Position will be responsible for fulfilling all levels of employees in the maintenance department. The position will support and train all levels of employees in maintenance, operation and use of all of Nelson Brother’s equipment. Position will also be back up for supervision, inventory and work order preparation. Position will be required to use all software as related to the fulfilment of the required task. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Maintenance IV Mechanic: Able to perform all duties of Maintenance I, II and III Mechanic Chassis Electronic diagnostic of engines Assists in training other mechanics Advanced trouble shooting and repair of all Nelson Brothers equipment Provides phone support for other mechanics Offers hands on technical support to other field service technicians Evaluate and recommend repairs or disposal of existing fleet Help with specification generation for purchase of new equipment Maintenance support: Work closely with maintenance and operations to develop systems and procedures to: Maximize equipment availability Minimize equipment maintenance disruption to operations Help with maintenance planning and the master schedule Scheduling of equipment delivery Scheduling shipments of parts orders Regulatory compliance: Interpretation and application of MSHA, DOT, and OSHA regulations Help to monitor others as to compliance General: Willing to travel on short notice Willing to work overtime on short notice Willing to do tasks outside of those specified to meets the needs of the company Must have excellent attendance Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent , college or vocation school Good Communicator, verbal and written Basic computer skills 10+ years relevant maintenance experience in similar equipment Customer Service experience required or like CDL holder with hazmat and tanker endorsements a plus Any ASE certifications is a plus
