Description Position Data: Grade: 2 Non-exempt : X Immediate Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor Basic Function or Position Summary: Keeps premises of office building, apartment house, or other commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. Pay Rate is $16.00/ hour up to 27.5 hours/weekly Temporary as needed position Requirements Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties: Performs pick-up and deliveries as required by Maintenance Manager Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned Performs general grounds keeping and landscaping Has some basic ability to trouble shoot while on the jobsite and notifies Maintenance Manager of job requirements Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow. Completes B&G work orders as assigned Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall. Promotes agency mission Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics. Maintains consistent professional customer service. Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self sufficiency. Other duties as designated by supervisor. Key Working Relationships: A. Internal: Building Staff, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Staff, and COI staff B. External: Suppliers, Customers Supervisory Scope: None Organizational Responsibilities: Adheres to all policies and procedures. Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes. Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate. Participates in organizational and divisional management systems. Knowledge, Skills Required: High School diploma or GED required. Basic skill level in grounds maintenance and general maintenance required. Strong interpersonal skills Good team building skill Physical: * Exerts heavy force in excess of 50 pounds Special Requirements: Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation Authorized driver of a COI vehicle. Ability to travel throughout the county Pre employment drug and alcohol testing required, subject to random drug and alcohol testing for cause. Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, bend and kneel Works compassionately with a diverse population.
