THE DETAILS:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $67,642 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 3)
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Arana Hills (2 positions available)

Join our Roads and Drains team as a Labourer and play a vital role in maintaining our community’s civil and transport infrastructure. Working closely with a crew leader, you’ll be at the forefront of operational maintenance of Council’s valuable assets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure your designated area remains safe, tidy, and defect-free. Some of the tasks include:

  • installing and replacing road signs
  • pathways, kerb and channel repairs
  • replacing manholes
  • conducting fence repairs
  • replacing lintels and grates
  • repairing headwalls
  • clearing open drains
  • fixing traffic island defects

Your work will directly contribute to the upkeep of our civil and transport infrastructure, making a tangible difference in our community’s safety and appearance. ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have recent experience performing labouring tasks related to maintaining infrastructure similar to what is listed above. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate:

  • knowledge and physical capability to perform manual tasks safely
  • recent experience in a manual position
  • experience maintaining similar infrastructure/performing similar tasks (desirable)
  • excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

In addition to these skills and experience, successful candidates must possess:

  • a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
  • a Construction Induction Card
