Description The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the overall preventative maintenance, repair, and performance of general equipment in the manufacturing facility for their assigned shift under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. The incumbent is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities: Manage, supervise, and direct maintenance personnel for the assigned shift in day-to-day activities relating to productivity, attendance, punctuality, quality of service, and overall attitude. Assign work orders, equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and other miscellaneous projects to shift personnel, and assist when needed. Create Work Orders in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor as needed. Troubleshoot issues relating to machines, assets, and equipment and evaluate for repairs Work with various computer-driven reports to manage tracking, capacity, and delivery of maintenance goals. Check out spare parts in the MP2 inventory system when used and update Work Order status in the system. Complete all applicable paperwork accurately and timely as it relates to maintenance work. Execute calibration on industrial mixers, winders, and creels to ensure that the equipment is working properly at all times. Inform Supervisor or management of any maintenance issues needing attention. Perform the functions and responsibilities of subordinate roles as and when needed. Perform job tasks in a safe manner at all times while adhering to the company safety policies. Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals. Manage a clean and productive work station. Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The incumbent must at a minimum possess the following: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two plus years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a maintenance role. One or more years of supervisory experience. Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite/computer knowledge. Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment while following instructions. Ability to comprehend production requirements. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must be able to: Operate basic office machines, such as a computer, copy machine, fax, scanner, etc. Lift a minimum of 50lbs., repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance. Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment. Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.). Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
