Position Title: MaintenanceLead   Function: The main function oftheMaintenance Leadis to oversee and ensure the efficientmaintenance, repair,and optimization of equipment, systems, andindustrial facilityinfrastructure. This roleisessentialforminimizing downtime, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring safety standards are met.TheMaintenance Lead reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.   Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:   1. Team Leadership and Coordination * Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians. * Assign tasks, set priorities, and manage workloads to meet maintenance schedules. * Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to the team.   2.  Maintenance Planning and Execution * Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to develop and implement preventativemaintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and extend machinery life. * Oversee routine inspections and maintenance tasks. * Coordinate and schedule repairs to minimize disruptions to production processes.   3.  Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving * Proactively diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, operational inefficiencies, andsystem failures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. * Provide expertise to address complex mechanical, electrical, or systems issues. * Lead and support troubleshooting efforts during emergencies or critical equipmentfailures, ensuring a timely and effective response. * Maintain documentation of incidents, diagnostics, and resolutions to support knowledgesharing and future issue prevention.   4.  Compliance and Safety   * Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. * Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout (LOTO)procedures, and other safety protocols. * Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards in the workplace. * Collaborate with the EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) department to ensure allincidents are reported, investigated, and documented appropriately.   5.  Inventory and Resource Management * Monitor and manage spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory. * Coordinatewithprocurementand vendors to sourcenecessary tools, parts, and materialsin a timely and cost-effective manner. * Track usage patterns and forecast demand to proactively manage stock and avoidshortages or overstocking. * Implement inventory control systems, including regular audits and accurate record-keeping, to ensure accountability and minimize waste.   6.  Collaboration with Other Departments * Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to alignmaintenance efforts with operational goals. * Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance needs, challenges,and progress. * Foster strong working relationships with production, engineering, quality control, andother departments to ensure maintenance activities align with overall operationalobjectives. * Coordinate planned maintenance and repair schedules to minimize disruption toproduction processes and optimize equipment availability. * Communicate clearly and consistently with management regarding maintenancepriorities, resource requirements, challenges encountered, and progress updates.   7.  Documentation and Reporting * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, includingpreventive maintenance schedules, equipment repairs, inspections, and part replacements. * When needed to cover supervisor prepare and submit reports on maintenance metrics,downtime analysis, and cost management. * Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support continuous improvementinitiatives, capital planning, and operational efficiency.   8. Continuous Improvement * Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency. * Lead or participate in projects aimed at upgrading systems or adopting new technologies. * Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team involvement,feedback, and training on best practices and emerging industry trends. * Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance equipment reliability,maintenance practices, and overall operational efficiency. * Analyze maintenance trends, recurring issues, and equipment performance data torecommend and implement process improvements   Guidelines: * Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies   Requirements: * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software orcomputerized maintenance management system and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. * Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrialequipment(mechanical, electrical, or automation systems). * Must be able to work with required PPE on such as gloves, hearing protection, safetyglasses/shield, respirator, hard hats, etc. * Required 5+yearsof hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. * Previous Supervisory or teamleadership experience is highly preferred.   Education/Experience: * High School Diploma or GED (Minimum): * Technical or Vocational Training: Certifications in Industrial maintenance, electrical,mechanical, pneumatics, welding is a plus.   Language Skills: * Bilingual Spanish preferred * Communication proficiency; ability to respondeffectivelyto internaland external contactsand answer or ask questions.   Mathematical Skills:   Summary of Mathematics Skills: * Essential: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry. * The ability to interpret and apply mathematical principles is critical for maintainingequipment accuracy, diagnosing problems, and optimizing operations in an industrialsetting. Reasoning Ability: * Ability to think to make quick decisions with safety in mind * Time management skills * Technical capacity * Flexibility * Collaborative team work   Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is mostly sedentary and requires repetitive hand movements, may requiresome standing, walking, bending,climbing or balance, stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl, plusoccasionally lifting 25-30 lbs.,and filing throughout theworkday. Specific vision abilitiesrequired by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision,adjustedfocusand theability to work in front of a computer monitor for extended periods of the day.   Work Environment: This position sits at aworkstationin the maintenance cage area.While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving  mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loudand havevarying temperatures depending on the time of year.
