REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role, preferably in the landscape or maintenance industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the landscape industry, including lawn maintenance techniques, turf care, sod installation, and garden maintenance.
  • Experience with snow removal and smart salt applications.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude, commitment to excellence, and a strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the successful completion of daily tasks and projects.
  • Motivate and inspire your team to achieve excellence in all aspects of their work, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Perform lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, line trimming, edging, and blowing to ensure the neat and manicured appearance of properties.
  • Oversee turf care services, including fertilization, weed control, seeding, etc, to maintain healthy and lush lawns.
  • Supervise maintenance tasks, including pruning, mulching, and weed control, to enhance the overall beauty of our customer’s curb appeal.
  • Lead a winter maintenance crew to ensure properties are clear and hazard free
  • Ensure liability is mitigated in the winter months and properties are up to company standards.
  • Ensure each property is completed on time, on budget and safely and that all crew members and customers are happy.
  • Train crew members on industry best practices and safety protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
