Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Maintenance and Facilities Lead Technician. Will support the Facilities and Maintenance department by managing daily activities and operations associated with maintenance services to include; external contractor management and daily routine checks on safety and regulatory standards. This supports with maintaining the facility and production equipment on its best working condition, office work, completing PM's, corrective maintenance, and minimizing downtime. The position will support both hands-on work on the Manufacturing floor, as well as office work. Perform daily checks on facilities systems such as PM's schedules, repair service tickets and OEE to assign maintenance tasks to the team of technicians based on priority. Obtain quotes, create MRO requests, track, and receive orders. Maintain and order Spare parts Inventory, expendables and tools for Facilities shop healthy stock with min/max. Hands on assistance on preventative Maintenance, and Repair ticket completions. Complete all safety and regulatory documentation for contracted service providers (Non-Routine Tasks, Elevated Work permit, Hot Work permit, Contractor MESH Work Permit, etc.) Motivate and coach team of technicians to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results. Assist with daily walkthroughs to review compliance on different projects and contracted services. Assist with daily/weekly/monthly walkthroughs for different facilities and equipment inspections. Maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation. Create work order Repair tickets as needed requested by management. Schedule contractors for scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, and quoting. Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.) Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment Minimum three (3) years of experience in facilities support function or contractor management function. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software. Proficient understanding of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and facilities concepts. No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Must be legally authorized to work in the US on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship. Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) . Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work in a highly unstructured and ambiguous environment. Ability to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision to include work at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively and work with all employees throughout plant. Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
