Description The Maintenance Lead is responsible for scheduling and overseeing maintenance work within a designated work team, including staffing, scheduling, cost management, team development and coaching, performance reviews, planning for continuous improvement within the designated team, and training. Manages designated teams to support Lean (process, quality, safety) requirements to meet organizational objectives and company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the interview and selection process for the cell and/or job family, and collaborate with interview team members to select candidates based on specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors representative of successful employees in existing positions. Develops & administers technical assessments used in external & internal interviewing processes. Uses a broad range of mechanical, electrical & electronic knowledge to assist IMTs & IMTAs with troubleshooting and repairs to achieve solutions to complex technical problems that are cost-effective and in the best interest of the business. Develop and manage staffing schedules that support operational requirements to deliver customer service requirements. Communicates with the previous and next shift Leads to maintain smooth shift transition related to operational status, work in process, and scheduling repairs. Audits SAP work orders for consistent data input. Develop and coach individuals to support the maintenance process and to support operational objectives, strategic goals, and individual career goals. Uses rewards and recognition to reinforce accomplishments. Responsible for final approval of training/progression plans. Assesses maintenance operations to identify skill gaps, improvements in the PvM program, and leads/develops a monitoring process using audits, metrics, and scorecards. Participates in the development of technical training. Schedules technical training that is specific to our production equipment to alleviate dependence on outside and OEM vendors. Communicates appropriately to create understanding of how daily activities link to operational goals and strategies, and meets or exceeds defined production goals. Partners with the Maintenance Manager to maintain his/her own self-development. Accountable for personal continuous learning through participation in routine and complex problem-solving activities related to the process or equipment in the designated job family and other job families. Accomplishes duties using safe work practices while being responsible for reporting all injuries and unsafe practices. Coaches fellow employees on safe work practices as appropriate and contributes to the overall success of the company’s safety program. Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required. Requirements Requirements and Qualifications: Five (5) years of related experience with two of the five years in a supervisor, lead, or advanced industrial maintenance technician role. Knowledge of and general application skills in a Windows Office environment, and working knowledge of SAP. Advanced analytical, complex-problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical) required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, schematics, instructions, and reports. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs. Occasionally required to work at heights up to 30 feet above ground on a ladder, in a scissors lift, or in a boom lift. Valid driver’s license required or eligible to get a valid state driver’s license. Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers. #LI-PW1
