Description Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plant equipment which includes, but is not limited to, work on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and high-pressure pasteurization machinery. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for a team of Maintenance Technicians. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing maintenance procedures and ensures implementation. Carries out inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues. Allocates workload and supervises staff to ensure completion of projects. Back up the Director by designation to monitor expenses and assist with managing the maintenance budget. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. Manages relationships with contractors and service providers. Supervise maintenance logs and reports on daily activities for the department. Assist with the LOTO program for the current location. Lead, supervise and assist with maintenance to ensure work is complete. Manage training, and coaching, and makes employment decisions regarding performance within the maintenance team. Works to ensure all business standards, demands, and regulatory (local, state, and/or federal) regulations and/or guidelines are followed. Be a team player to ensure APC policies and procedures are complied with. Other responsibilities as delegated by Maintenance Director. Requirements Requires 5 years of experience in an industrial environment (manufacturing, food, and beverage industry). Must have a Vocational or Technical Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 10+ years of experience on maintenance manufacturing as Senior or manager similar duties. Excellent communication skills include writing, verbal, and good listening. Requires at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory environment. Advanced equipment troubleshooting skills are required. Have some knowledge of standard industry regulations. Must have a working knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical principles and their operation. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues. Understanding PLC Ladder Logic is highly valued. Exceptional critical thinking skills include the ability to analyze and reason to identify the pros and cons of alternative solutions. Highly developed skills to include detail-oriented, neat, extremely organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Some technical skills such as computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and some attendance programs. Transportation, valid Wisconsin driver’s license, state minimum car insurance and must meet agency driver’s requirement. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed The individual must show initiative and be a team player.
