Description

We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager at our manufacturing facility in Woodbridge, ON.
Maintenance Manager will be expected to improve equipment availability and manage the maintenance department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance work experience, in a management role, is required.
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience is an asset.
  • Millwright certification is required.
  • Completion of a diploma/degree in mechanical/electrical engineering technology would be an asset.
  • Advanced interpersonal & communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and think strategically.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who install, repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Implement and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to balance plant & equipment availability with overall costs.
  • Requisition materials and supplies.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
  • Train or arrange for training of workers.
  • Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed.
  • Prepare work progress reports.
  • Maintain records including plant process diagrams, site engineering drawings, and maintenance records.
