Description SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager manages and coordinates all maintenance-related activities of a non-automated or automated facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions to prevent future issues Implement and ensure compliance with all fire, safety, risk, environmental and health and safety programs Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work Manage, plan and schedule maintenance workload Develop and ensure adherence to annual budgets for labor and materials Review monthly reports, discuss results, and provide creative solutions to achieve goals Collaborate with management to create schedule for planned maintenance events and work directly with all automation vendors during the hardware and software commissioning process Provide recommendations on future capital expenditure projects for the assigned projects and ensure timely completion. Manage all projects for production maintenance to work within production timelines Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance on existing and future equipment Develop and maintain current inventory of equipment Provide guidance on the design and management of future automation project work Develop ROI's for existing equipment Performs other duties as assigned BENEFITS: Medical, Vision, Dental insurance and many more voluntary coverage options Company paid Disability, Life and Identity Theft insurance. TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Excellent knowledge of the principles of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Working knowledge of PLC's, VFD's and other automation equipment. 3 years multi-skill maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment including resource planning. 4 years automated production management experience. Experience working at temperature-controlled facility. Preferred experience with produce scales, conveyors, pumps, spin dryers, cutting equipment, hoppers, sealers and air compressors. Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical fundamentals and applications. Proficient computer skills required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity. Ability to work in temperatures as low as 35 degrees F in wet environments. English/Spanish Bilingual preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold, and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
