Coast Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the operational excellence of our property. From preventative maintenance to capital projects, your leadership will ensure our spaces are safe, efficient, and welcoming for both guests and ambassadors.

  • What You’ll Lead & Drive:
  • Strategic Planning: Build and execute departmental plans and budgets aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Partner with other departments to identify needs and implement practical, cross-functional solutions.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Stay ahead of repairs with preventative programs that keep operations smooth.
  • Resource Efficiency: Maximize resources and maintain budgets through sustainable, cost-effective practices.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Lead with safety first, ensuring compliance with WCB, OH&S, and other regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Guest Experience Focus: Quickly address concerns and eliminate service barriers to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Agility Under Pressure: Remain adaptable and solution-oriented during peak periods, special events, and unexpected challenges.

Responsibilities

✅ WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Education & Leadership: A degree in Engineering or several years of proven success in a high-level management role within maintenance, facilities, or a related field.
  • Hands-On Expertise: Secondary School Diploma required; trades certifications in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or refrigeration are strong assets.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years at the Journeyman level plus 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial position.
  • Project & Contractor Management: Skilled in managing contractors and overseeing capital projects.
  • Technical & Digital Skills: Proficient in MS Office, budgeting tools, and forecasting.
  • Safety Knowledge: WHMIS certified with strong understanding of health, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Calm, focused, and resourceful in tackling challenges.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
