Our client a high-quality operation based near to Falmouth are seeking a maintenance manager to join their great team.

Responsibilities
  • As the maintenance manager you will ensure that resort is maintained, developed and improved to a high standard and as cost effectively as possible, you will lead a positive and proactive work force in the upkeep of the resort improvements and maintenance requirements in line with Health & Safety and legal requirements. You will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise and have a proactive approach.
  • Review and develop procedures, processes and systems for the resort to improve the management of the preventative and remedial maintenance programme, refurbishment and overall improvements of the resort and grounds.
  • Ensure all contractors on site have clear terms of reference; are targeted, managed and assessed/inspected; have pre-agreed financial terms; presence / time on site etc. and managed – signing in/out/insurances/risk assessments/method statement/hot works permit/working at heights etc. If/when applicable.
  • Manage the budgets and forecasting / reporting of expenditure for refurbishment, maintenance and development.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure that they adhere to the same procedures with respect to property management.
  • Track the maintenance department workload and user /department requirements in order to schedule / prioritise workloads.
  • Improve the monitoring, measurement, analysis and accountability for all expenditure on utilities. Recommend measures to reduce expenditure.
  • Attend internal meetings, communicating to the business of any emergency works, ongoing maintenance issues or improvements and any expected disruption.
  • Main liaison between the resort and third parties developing within the proximity of the resort and ensuring communication links are clear and the operation / guests are forewarned of any disruption.
  • Manage the waste management contracts and recommend / implement any ‘Green’ initiatives to increase awareness and to drive recycling and reduce general waste.
