Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Salary: $92,214 to $120,971
Reports To: Plant Manager
Location: Irvine, CA USA
Department: Operations

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all equipment installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the Irvine facilities. He/she develops, improves and executes maintenance procedures, manages maintenance budgets, and leads a team of maintenance and facility professionals to achieve operational excellence, high production uptime and utilization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance.
  • Previous experience in Maintenance Management required.
  • Good understanding of compressors and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Meet the KPIs of the maintenance department and support operations at Irvine to meet its objectives.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures that minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage maintenance-related budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of equipment and facility upkeep.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to acquire high-quality services and materials for maintenance projects.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance procedures and reduce costs.
  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is documented according to the requirements to collect information for the machine history.
  • Monitor the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies and reorder them to avoid delays in maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that the facility infrastructure, such as the UPS system, generator, and compressors, is maintained well.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their skillsets and efficiency.
  • Mentor the team to identify root causes for equipment downtime and effectively manage corrective actions.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies involving equipment breakdowns, mitigating potential hazards or interruptions.
  • Lead by example - consistently promote and demonstrate high-performance standards and outcome-based thinking.

  • Identify and track training needs. Conduct internal training meetings, one-on-one development sessions, and outside technical skills training.
  • Use CMMS effectively to improve machine uptime, response time, and optimal parts inventory.
  • Ensure that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and in compliance with laws, regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ensure that the facility satisfies all industry regulations and is in compliance with local building codes, fire codes etc.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
