Requirements:
- Related professional trade certification (e.g. Millwright) and/or Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering
- 10 years’ experience managing a complex manufacturing maintenance/engineering environment.
- Supervisory experience required – unionized experience an asset.
- Must have knowledge of engineering standards such as NFPA, OHSA, ASME, API, UBC, etc. and be able to problem solve
- Training/knowledge of use of root cause analysis, Six Sigma and troubleshooting methodologies is desirable.
- Understanding of environmental regulations for air, water and solid waste.
- Solid understanding of pump curves and piping systems, machine design and process design including blue print reading, process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Working knowledge of equipment and processes
Responsibilities:
- Ensure asset efficiencies are met, reduce energy consumption, direct engineering and maintenance and standardize best practices.
- Develop, design, budget, construct and control cost and schedule for capital and expense projects.
