Responsibilities
  • Ensure all members of the maintenance team are working safely – Risk assessment / LOTOTO / Permits / Work instructions
  • Manage the day to day operation of the maintenance team, to maximise availability of all assets.
  • Manage and control of all contractors used in the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with KI safety policies by championing the importance of safe working methods and practices.
  • Ensure the site complies with all regulatory standards such as DSEAR/ ATEX / Electricity at Work act/ CDM etc.
  • Institute rigorous standards for housekeeping & recommend improvement procedures.
  • Negotiate best costs for all work below purchasing scope of involvement.
  • Promote competition amongst vendors by introducing new suppliers.
  • Assist engineering manager with the management of spare stock value
  • Support plant CI initiatives by attending CI meetings when requested and delivering actions in an agreed time. Actively participate in CI workshops and promote the CI culture within the plant.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in keeping the Site, buildings and fabric, physical infrastructure and Manufacturing and Assembly assets and equipment, in a well maintained and safe condition.
  • Use of KI internal systems to ensure site documentation is maintained as current
