Description
Description The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations for a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility specializing in 14 heavy-gauge thermoforming machines and supporting equipment. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production. The Maintenance Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Safety to maximize uptime, manage maintenance teams and vendors, and drive long-term asset performance across the facility. Requirements Essential job duties and responsibilities include: Determine, develop, and coordinate preventative maintenance on all machines. Schedule projects/priorities for the Maintenance Staff to ensure minimal production down time. Ensure that all machinery and equipment is performing safely and correctly, as set forth by the appropriate safety standards and regulations (i.e. ANSI, NFPA, NEC, EN). Consistently and proactively investigate potential safety hazards and immediately react to unsafe conditions/acts with a sense of urgency. Maintain matrix to determine parts necessary to have on hand, using low-cost high-quality suppliers to fill need. Support Engineering, Tool Room, Machine Technicians, and Team Leads as needed. Training and development of maintenance staff, including daily time approvals and PTO requests. Support implementation of equipment and equipment upgrades, as directed by Sr. Project Manager for equipment (i.e., new production equipment and production support equipment). Maintain and analyze maintenance incident report database. Use data to create proactive asset management methods. Schedule projects/priorities for the Maintenance Staff to ensure minimal production down time. Ensure that all machinery and equipment is performing safely and correctly, as it was designed and intended to be used as set forth by the appropriate safety standards and regulations (i.e., ANSI, NFPA, NEC, EN). Consistently and proactively investigate potential machinery failures and develop long terms solutions to repetitive issues. Research and place orders for items as requested by all departments. Participates in continuous improvement teams as requested. Work with fellow Supervisors and Management on researching other needs (new safety devices, better machinery/methods, material handling equipment, transportation of products or personnel, etc.). Other job duties as assigned. Minimum Level of Education/Training Required Associates degree in technical field (preferably in industrial maintenance). Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, EN guidelines (OSHA 30-hour compliance course). Computer literate and functional use of Microsoft office products. Minimum Experience Required 3 – 5 years of experience with safety/OSHA related topics 3 – 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience 3 – 5 years troubleshooting and repair experience on industrial automation, including PLC’s, PAC’s, AC & DC, variable speed drives, services multi-access motion controllers (knowledge of Allen Bradley, Kuka, and Fagor products a plus). 7 – 10 years trouble shooting and repairs of automated production equipment, thermoforming knowledge a plus. License or Certificate Required OSHA 30 Hour Compliance Forklift driver certificate
