Description Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within our food manufacturing facility. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in maintenance management, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills to ensure the facility's smooth operation. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Maintenance department, overseeing a team of maintenance technicians. Develop and implement maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance programs, and schedules to ensure optimal equipment functionality. Coordinate and execute maintenance activities for all production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Manage and optimize the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all workplace safety and food safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations. Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to production schedules. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements in maintenance procedures. Implement and maintain inventory control systems for spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance operations. Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues. Maintain documentation and records related to maintenance activities, reports, standard operating procedures and equipment performance. Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, generators, and other components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime in production. Installation and Upgrades: Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems as needed to meet the requirements of the food manufacturing facility. Work with blueprints and electrical diagrams to plan and execute installations. Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and maintain control systems for various machinery used in food production. Ensure that all electrical components are functioning within specified parameters. Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and rectify potential electrical hazards to prevent accidents. Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and provide quick and effective solutions to minimize production interruptions. Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinate with other departments, such as Safety, Production, and Quality to understand needs and address issues. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. Keep track of equipment specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards. Adherence to Regulations: Stay informed about local and national electrical codes and regulations. Ensure that all electrical work meets compliance standards set by relevant authorities. Maintain proper certifications and licensing and continuing education requirements Requirements 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing maintenance team. Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, and relevant regulations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated project management abilities and experience with maintenance-related software and tools. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Formal training and current certification as an Electrician required. Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Certification in maintenance management or relevant field is a plus. Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
