There is a requirement for an experienced and skilled Maintenance Manager with strong organisational skills to join the team on a very busy Visit England 4 stars accredited holiday park. The position is full time.
You will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Maintenance Department. As a senior member of the team, the Maintenance Manager is expected to always adopt a duty management attitude, always vigilant with strong attention to detail. You will manage a team of up to approx. 3 staff. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and buildings and ensure facilities are tidy, safe, and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and some technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
You will strive to maximise every opportunity to improve park and business performance whilst leading and training staff members to deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all areas meet with the high expectations of our customers
  • Ensuring safety of customers and staff
  • Enforcing relevant legislation (health and safety, hygiene, fire etc)
  • Ensuring staff and customer areas are maintained effectively
  • Prove all the above by completion of check sheets
  • Conduct and oversee general internal and external Park Maintenance
  • Ensuring best practices with regards inventory stock control
  • Compilation, delivering and exceeding budgeted cost control
  • Proactively managing change and continuous improvement in all areas of the park
  • Establishing and communicating to staff members achievement goals
  • Liaising and working cohesively with all departments on park
  • Liaising with customers ensuring all standards are met and exceeded
  • Liaising with direct Line Manager and escalating any issues or complaints
  • Recruiting, managing and motivating staff members as well as coaching and developing, supporting and monitoring staff members to encourage promotion
  • Liaising with the General Manager to prioritise areas of concentration
  • General administrative work
  • Dealing with rota’s, payroll, payroll queries and invoicing
  • De-Siting and siting caravans and associated services
  • Install and maintaining appliances and equipment
  • Maintaining on site vehicles, buggies mowers etc.
  • Use of Book Now logs to manage effective maintenance
  • Responsible for grounds upkeep
