Located in the peaceful village of Three Legged Cross, Oakdene Care Home is an award-winning service offering high-quality Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 71 residents. Our beautifully maintained home is known for its person-centred approach and welcoming, supportive atmosphere.
We are now looking for a proactive and detail-focused Maintenance Officer to take charge of keeping our home safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a real difference behind the scenes, this could be the perfect opportunity.
ABOUT US
Oakdene Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom. We are committed to delivering outstanding care in specialist settings and creating supportive workplaces where our teams can grow and flourish.
Our five core values – Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, Inclusivity – define everything we do. If you share these values and want to use your skills in a role that truly matters, we would love to hear from you
As our Maintenance Officer, you will oversee all aspects of the home’s maintenance and upkeep. You will carry out day-to-day repairs, preventative checks, and routine inspections to ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are always in excellent condition. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike.
You will be responsible for electrical inspections, minor plumbing and joinery repairs, equipment servicing, safety checks (including fire alarms), basic decoration, grounds upkeep, and supporting renovation or improvement projects. You will also liaise with external contractors when needed and ensure all maintenance records are up to date and compliant with health and safety standards.
Flexibility is essential in this role, as occasional evening or weekend work may be required, along with being on-call for emergency maintenance when needed.
