Responsibilities

The key focus of this role will be to:

  • Manage the maintenance team across the Bibra Lake site
  • Responsibly manage the site repairs and maintenance budget
  • Play a key role in upholding safety and compliance standards on-site
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external parties (such as OEM’s, contractors and suppliers)
  • Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance is planned and executed effectively – to ensure reliability of the machines
  • Utilize relevant data to conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement continuous improvement strategies, to avoid reoccurrences
  • Effectively use the systems on-site to ensure that records and planning is accurately outlined (such as: maintenance planned, contract management, storage of regulatory documents, overseeing the spare parts on-site and ordering spare parts

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

  • An engineering degree or a relevant trade qualification (either electrical or mechanical)
  • Multiple years of experience in leading trade qualified teams (fitters and electricians)
  • Prior experience in managing preventative and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Project management and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to empower the team
  • Experience in using systems such as SAP would be idea
