Description
Optimal, on behalf of its client, a well-established hospitality group, is seeking a Maintenance Manager based in Athens. Scope of Role As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all proactive, preventive, and reactive maintenance procedures across the company’s properties. This role is based in Athens and involves periodic hotel visits to ensure operational efficiency and the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure SOPs are followed across all properties. Develop and implement the annual Maintenance Action Plan in collaboration with hotel management and maintenance teams. Maintain and update maintenance equipment and supply inventory. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other audit-related technical procedures. Address maintenance incidents efficiently and ensure timely resolution. Participate in recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and retention of the maintenance team. Liaise with security, external contractors, and providers for technical, safety, and IT issues. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify improvements and implement solutions. Report to the Deputy CEO on all maintenance-related matters. Conduct team meetings and participate in interdepartmental meetings to support collaboration and alignment. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chief Engineer in a hotel complex. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Excellent communication skills in Greek and English. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to travel periodically to hotel properties.
