Job Description About this opportunity We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our Dandenong manufacturing site. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant and equipment within a 24/5 manufacturing environment. The role will play a key part in an upcoming site expansion, supporting the relocation of another facility, including the transfer and commissioning of machinery. Experience with site or machine relocations will be highly regarded. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will provide critical leadership across maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement activities. You will work closely with production, quality, and safety teams to support operational excellence, asset reliability, and OEE improvement. Your key responsibilities will be to: Leading site maintenance operations to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and safety Managing preventive and condition-based maintenance programs (TPM) Driving safety leadership through audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and WHSE initiatives Managing contractors, including inductions, JSEAs, and compliance requirements Maintaining accurate maintenance records and managing spare parts inventory Managing the site maintenance budget and capital expenditure Leading and supporting capital and improvement projects (typically under $250k) Supporting engineering upgrades and equipment design improvements Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance leadership role within a 24/7 manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of OEE, Root Cause Analysis, and TPM Proven experience driving continuous improvement initiatives Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractor labour Working knowledge of MEX (Maintenance Execution System) Experience with plant or machinery relocations (highly desirable) Injection moulding experience (highly regarded) Sound understanding of manufacturing cost control Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Results‑driven mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach Qualifications Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Trade qualification with tertiary studies in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Electrical qualifications will be well regarded
