Overview Poly-America, L.P is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our Maintenance department. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction and agricultural films. Dedicated to providing the highest quality polyethylene products, our team of chemical, mechanical, electrical and process engineers is at the forefront of modern plastics technology. The company’s innovative design team is responsible for several technological breakthroughs in blown-film extrusion and bag making. We also maintain one of the most sophisticated on-site labs in the plastics industry. Responsibilities Manage a large maintenance staff in a facility operating 24 / 7. Responsible for working with engineering and operations when planning equipment installation and alterations, propose upgrades to existing machinery when needed. Supervise the planning of plant and equipment maintenance and repair. Ensure that all repairs and projects are done in a safe and timely manner. Ability to instruct maintenance personnel in theory and practical applications. Develop technical training and other maintenance practices to help eliminate downtime and improve employee morale. Represent the maintenance department in staff meetings. Identify and solve leading downtime contributors. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. Ten years’ experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment required. Three years in leading and directing a staff of maintenance personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The aptitude and desire necessary to be a good student of Poly-America processes and procedures. IND123
