SUMMARY

This role manages all maintenance or facility related activities and services to ensure efficient operation and minimize down time within manufacturing/mining operations. Manage projects to ensure continuous quality improvement to reduce cost and maximize productivity. Effectively encourage and facilitate new and innovative thinking. Control stores inventory and provide support to capital projects.

TYPICAL EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Responsibilities
  • Sets direction and mandate for Maintenance Departments in promotion and support of BRC auditing in promoting product safety, legality, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leads Maintenance Management Team to deliver site equipment reliability, including maintenance planning, mechanical, electrical, boiler and refrigeration departments.
  • Member of the Plant Leadership Team. Inputs to overall direction of plant and policy.
  • Coaches Maintenance Leadership Team on World Class Maintenance systems and processes. Advises, facilitates interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Develops organizational structure and resources to deliver effective and efficient team direction and rapid decision making.
  • Responsible for developing long term vision for the department, one to five years that aligns with plant direction. Sets goals, objectives, and actions for self and direct reports to meet the vision.
  • Ensures Maintenance systems and processes are in place and functioning properly to meet complex requirements (short term, long term, and turnaround) 100% accountable for the overall performance of the Maintenance Department, the safety of its members and their actions.
