Suite 400 Hudsonville, MI 49426 Company Proper Beverage Company Department Maintenance Reports To Director, Engineering Supervisory Responsibilities Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations at our canned beverage manufacturing facility. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent leadership skills and a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems. The Maintenance Manager will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols across two manufacturing facilities. Equipment Maintenance Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production disruptions. Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and installations. Troubleshooting Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with production equipment. Develop effective solutions to address problems in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies to support maintenance activities. Coordinate with procurement and vendors to procure parts and materials as needed. Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety awareness among maintenance staff. Support the enhancement and implementation of robust safety programs. Continuous Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and streamline maintenance processes. Implement best practices and innovative technologies to optimize maintenance efficiency. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Proficiency in maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong experience with Allen-Bradley systems, preferred Strong experience with SCADA systems, preferred Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues. Expected to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
