Description

Overview:
Stryten Energy, with a long history in Lancaster County, operates a growing plastic injection molding facility in West Lampeter Township. We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base.
This position will manage, plan, organize, control, and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and service of plant manufacturing equipment, buildings, and facilities to ensure optimum production effectiveness. It will comply with company policies and procedures relating to health, safety and personnel practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of maintenance department to ensure maximum utilization of technicians, department personnel, and contractors
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained to comply with all environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel in manufacturing plant areas
  • Ensure that equipment is performing effectively and efficiently
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting the departments key performance indcators
  • Assists in establishing plant maintenance goals
  • Provides leadership and technical resources toward implementation of Lean Manufacturing
  • Interface with outside service providers and contractors to secure bids for goods and services
  • Track and control the department MRO budget
  • Manage systems and foster an environment of continuous improvement to maximize operational availability
  • Engage department to follow health and safety practices as they apply to department and the facility to drive a strong safety culture continuously reducing injury rates
  • Participate in training and development programs including environmental, health and safety, and handling hazardous materials
  • Complete any additional duties or activities as requested

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and three years of related experience or post high school education such as technical school combined with 8 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • 5 years of direct supervisory experience with responsibility for coaching and counseling employees.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, electrical distribution and electromechanical equipment.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent computer skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, MES, CMMS
  • Proven technical aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Understanding of Industrial maintenance systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and create a sense of urgency for completion of tasks.
  • Independent problem solving and decision- making skills.
  • Proficiency with budgeting, Continuous improvement / Lean management, Performance Management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Environmental Regulations as they pertain to this facility
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to this facility
  • Able to work all shifts
  • Ability to follow all environmental, health and safety procedures
