This role provides leadership to the maintenance technician team, ensures compliance with safety standards, and drives continuous improvement in equipment performance, production efficiency, and employee development. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Own uptime, reliability, and safe operation of stamping and assembly equipment including tandem press lines, progressive presses, and transfer presses Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related downtime Support commissioning of new equipment including 2,500T coil-fed and 3,500T blank-fed transfer presses Establish and sustain PM and PdM systems with >95% PM compliance Develop spare parts strategies and manage maintenance planning Provide leadership for PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems Interpret PLC alarms, fault codes, and HMI diagnostics Lead maintenance and controls teams with a strong safety-first culture Partner with Operations, Engineering, and CI teams to support production and downtime reduction Requirements 7+ years industrial maintenance experience required 3+ years maintenance leadership experience required Automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing background Stamping experience including tandem lines Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills High-level working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment Qualifications – Preferred Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms Exposure to Siemens PLC systems Transfer press commissioning experience Robotics and automation experience Plex Maintenance module experience a plus
